Description
The Channel is a mix of different videos, rail fanning, model building, auto mechanics, Scouts and traffic signals. I don't claim to be an expert in anything, but perhaps, one of these videos may be of assistance to someone, sometime. Perhaps, they will provide entertainment, either way, I hope you enjoy. As for the name "Signal Man" I am a fan of Dickens, but was unaware of the character.

1500.00 for front and rear strut replacement at the Ford dealer. I'm not a mechanic but this tutorial was very easy to follow. Thank you.

Some nice views of that rear suspension! But for the love of God, just drop the lower control arm--- two bolts and take out the shock.

Just remove the lower control arm bolt at the frame connection and drop it down.

Too much of removal. It is actually a 5 bolt removal job. Inner lower control arm bolt, 3 top strut nuts and the bottom bolt from the strut.

Also, this setup is exactly the identical setup on my 2008 Expedition

I have experience replacing struts in my past vehicles, smaller than this one, seemingly less complicated (Corolla, Grand Caravan). How long would you estimate this job is for your guys? How long for an experienced amateur? I've got a rust-free vehicle so no problems due to that...

Ugh. If you don’t have a ratcheting 15mm wrench for those strut mount bolts... you’d better bring a pillow, a friend, and a ham sandwich.
