Welcome to Florida Bullfrog's Hunting Old Florida! This channel is about homesteading, farming, hunting, fishing, camping and life in rural Florida. I am an 8th generation Floridian. My family has been in Florida since the early 1800s. I am a member of a nearly extinct ethnicity called the Florida Crackers. We were the first American settlers of Florida after the Spanish and the Seminole. Our culture is defined by a strong tie to the woods and wild places of Florida. Unfortunately, development and a massive population growth has destroyed most of Old Florida, and what little bit is left is slipping away fast. The Cracker cannot and will not survive once Florida's wild places become relegated to a few parks and public areas. Please join me as I chronicle what little bit of Old Florida Cracker culture is left before it fades away into extinction.

I find using a gas piston airgun works great for squirrel hunting as they usually fire around the same sleek as a .22 short and is most effective at killing when using any kind of ballistic or hollow point pellet. My preference is Gamo redfire or crosman premieres.

The .177 is more than capable of bringing down animals of this size with a proper head shot.

i've taken coyotes at 15-20 yards with 12 fpe .177 air rifles. if you shoot them right between the eyes in the soft spot of their head you can drop em right there. pretty impressive.

Beautiful piece of land you have there. I'm not surprised that they .177 took out the squirrels. I have a Marauder .25 and am looking forward to hunting some rabbits and squirrels in the next couple of weeks.

Those squirrels are tough as hell. I shoot em in my backyard and I've seen them take some hits. And then a rabbit twice as big flops over without incident

I like 22 shorts for squirrel hunt and they're really good I'm not much of a squirrel fan now I have to be really hungry to eat a squirrel
