Imagine shoving a camera in the face of a family who is in shock after their child is injured

Update: The little girl survived, but experienced psychological trauma from the event. She was on her father's lap when it happened. He tried to raise his hand to stop it, but it came too fast. His son says he believes his father said he felt the ball graze his fingers as his reaction came too slow to shield his daughter. The ball hit hard enough to cause both her eyes to swell shut and the stitching of the baseball left a cut on her face. The batter, Todd Frazier, called the family every day when the little girl was in the hospital. The father kept reminding him that it wasn't Frazier's fault that it happened. As she grows up, she may need surgery to fix damage to her nose and orbital socket (for her eye).

Can we just take a moment to appreciate how sad the guy who accidentally hit her was

I hope batsman knows that it wasn't his fault, imagine the guilt he would have felt if something happened to the girl- Thank god she's ok.

Seeing the cameras in the parents faces outside the hospital makes me glad I stayed away from news jobs after film school.

Seriously don’t shove cameras and mics in the family’s faces as they’re going to see their kid who just got injured, that’s so messed up

Imagine how the batter felt.. he has kids and was just doing his job.. if that girl had died he'd be scarred for life.

Imagine trying to go into the hospital to see if your toddler or grandchild still has a face, and a wave of strangers shove phones and mics at you asking what your trying to figure out yourself.

You have to notice it's not the base ballers fault it's the designers of the net fault

It’s not his fault.. it’s what he does.. throws a ball at ah high speed & if it hits u then it’s the person who built the nets fault.

Truly unfortunate that freak accidents like that occur, I really feel sorry for the toddler and the batter, who has to bear the guilt on his shoulders.
