Cluttered and untidy is bad enough. But filthy is inexcusable.

This is really sad, there are so many ppl who are homeless and would have loved living there and keeping it clean.

Laws need to change to protect these landlords, this is ridiculous..!!!

I would guess drugs and alcohol are involved. As a caregiver I couldn’t believe some of the houses I walked into to help the clients. Nice clothes, jewelry food etc just left all over and destroyed. Mentally challenged,and addiction. Goes beyond the messy housekeeping to not caring at all. Sorry you had to have this happen to your apartments or house. The world we live in has responsible people and those who are not. Good luck with your cleaning.

These people knew they were leaving, haphazardly went through their items leaving this disgusting mess behind ... This had to be intentionally done in two months and shame on them .

My family never had much growing up. My parents worked very hard to raise their children. My Mom always said if you have 2 clean outfits and a bar of soap you will do alright in life.

Oh man. Crazy how he not only left the apartment all messy, but all of the food in the fridge to rot. And it was full too! It’s just… wow.

It's sounds crazy but I've seen homeless squatters turn a house upside down like that after just a few days of being unoccupied. What's crazier is we run into people who choose to live in that filth pretty often too. I hate ya had to clean up that mess it looks awful!

That was very disrespectful of your tenant doing that I'm sorry you had to go thru that mess.. they should have respect for you and at least clean their mess up..

My landlord, a property management company, has quarterly pest control sprayings. A representative of the company accompanies the pest control guy. I think this serves as kind of a clandestine inspection to see if there are any other unreported problems.

And they wonder why Landlords don't want to participate in the Section 8 programs anymore and I don't blame them

I'm glad, most people clean up after themselves. Those kinds of tenants, dont pay their bills, can't take care of themselves, and r mentally ill.

Wow! I just recently moved out of an apartment and believe me it did NOT look like this when I left. Unbelievable that some people just don’t care. Smh

Trashing apartment should face criminal charges.

Years ago I used to do trash out in apartments and houses. One apartment I did it had ankle and knee deep in clothing in the living room. They are nasty and dirty and full of bugs. My husband and I cleaned a Section 8 house it took us 8 hrs to clean it. I had to use oven cleaner to clean the tub and shower and my husband spent the 8 hrs cleaning the kitchen the stove and fridge was nasty .

My dad and my brother were vacuuming and shampooing a rental and dirt was jumping in front of the vacuum. Turned out to be fleas. One of the worst we ever saw. The only other one that was worse was the bathroom that had a leak and no floor that the tenants never said a word about. Total demo and rebuild to the studs.

Oh well, at least nothing looks damaged or destroyed. You can see there’s a nice apartment under all that mess.

This was 2 months worth?! This must have been one angry tenet to have left this mess. I've seen a heck of lot worse.
