Jarhead & Ginger’s Journey
Description
Scott is a Marine and retired from DoD working with Marines in Okinawa, Japan in August 2020. He and Allison decided to retire in the U.S. to enjoy full time RVing. We chose a 2021 Grand Design Momentum 397th as our new home. We are empty nesters with 4 adult children and a grandson. He served in the USMC for over 9 years as a H.A.W.K. Missile Operator and an Air Traffic Controller. She has degrees in healthcare admin and special education and loves working with autistic and severely disabled children.
We have been stationed at MCAS Yuma twice and MCAS Futenma in Okinawa, Japan twice. Jarhead became a civilian Air Traffic controller. We moved to Georgia, Alaska, and back to Okinawa. We decided we can’t stay in one place and would enjoy traveling in an RV. We plan to work part time while traveling. We also enjoy making friends and sharing our adventures.

I have used peroxide to do this. I send a quart of it directly into my pipes and water heater. Let it sit for a couple hours. Flush it all out by running the water throughout the camper for 5 mins. The smell is gone and stays gone for a good while. Semper Fi, leatherneck!!!

I heard to use 60% vinegar mixture. I live full-time in my trailer. I use the fresh water tank quite often because if the city water gets shut off, I still have water.

WOW this is very detailed! But, love all the ideas. I needed to change my water filter for the longest time YIKES! I am guilty of not changing it as much as I'd like to. The water heater is a whole other story. Can definitely use these ideas for my own tank!

we never use our fresh tank either, but we do the tank sanitize and lines to make sure we have covered our bases.

Thanks for the idea. Liked your channel. Look like you used about 1/2 to 1 cup of white vinegar
