This is a channel dedicated to learning and perfecting various crafts. I have always been a maker of things; art, design, videography, motion graphics, wood, leather, steel. you are the first restorer that respects the history of the vise, no stucco, no metallic paints, only polished iron, very nice.

So many great messages here. My favorite, is that it’s okay if something doesn’t work. You try your best. Give it a go and move on to try something else. You learn. It’s only a fail if you quit. So well done.

It's a long way from Kansas City, but somehow you managed to find each other in that desert. Good to see you patch her up, we all need a bit of TLC from time to time.

I LOVE that you complimented the braze repair done to the dynamic jaw! That'll be a work horse! Great job Brett!

Nice job, Brent. And nice job to you and Jess, helping out the maker’s family. That’s a chore that’s just too big for a lot of folks, particularly at such a difficult time. I know his wife was grateful for your support.

I have a Reed Mfg vice dated 1905. I did similar res to it. Love how you left the brazing visible in this.
