even using one marker you still manage to make it look so pretty and pleasing and you incorporated so many techniques and that gave the whole drawing a lot of depth and life

Of course it's not cheating, the point of this challenge isn't to decide who is better at following the rules, but to be creative and smart about the rules. And you did great I honestly love this piece

I love this Alice! Many textures, yet doesn't look too busy or overwhelming. Great work! I've been doing a botanical drawing challenge this month to practice different type of plant drawings and I am right there with you on loving the green. Normally its not one of my faves either.

people who "police" these types of challenges are missing the entire point. the point of this challenge is to test your creativity, which is something that us artists should be doing all of the time !! no one wants a drawing w zero contrast/texture, which is mostly what'll happen if the artist does what most of those people are saying to do lmao
