Well the thing is, when you connect the phone to the computer, you have to "accept" the connection by pressing the accept button on your phone, which does not work because the screen is smashed.

What if you have your USB tethering set to charge only, and then you drop your LG G3 on the floor at work? I can't get the screen to interact enough to turn it on. Is there a way to manually enable Data storage mode?

how can you retrieve files from a droid with a broken lcd (by broken i mean literally broken, the lcd screen was smashed to pieces), the phone is charging when connected to the pc however, in order to transfer files, it must be in MTP mode. how can I do that?

Good Video. I was looking for a full data recovery when the device will NOT turn on and the PC will not recognize it when it is plugged in. How to truly recover data from a fully broken device. Is there a way to open the phone and manually connect to the phones drive and read the data?

If your Android device is Samsung and your screen is broken (as in you can't see anything) but your phone is still working, if you can access your files "Samsung Find my Phone" (just google search it) If your phone has a pin select the option "Unlock my phone" and then connect your phone to your computer and just copy your files over (or use Kies if you prefer).. You can also use this service to remotely access your phone and delete information or put a password or track it etc..

Hello, could you please help me? I misplaced my phone a while back and it's been dead for months. One day I found it, and I tried charging it and then restarting it. When it turned on though it notified me that there was a boot error of some sort. This continued over and over. I changed the battery, tried different charges, etc. I would really like the phone to work again but what I need most of all is to recover the data. My phone will not turn on whatsoever. Do you have any suggestions on what I should do?

My phones screen [Samsung Galaxy S4] is broken (fully blacked out). However, it still powers on, vibrates, makes noise, and vibrates when I touch lock screen pin also when I recieve a message (which implicates that my data is there). Yet when I connect in USB from my phone to computer (phone makes noise it's charging) it shows up as "connected" but then shows no information or files regarding the phone. I click on the device's files and it shows me absolutely nothing yet my phone obviously still carries the internal data.

if i go into kies it wont let me access the phone unless i enter my password in the phone. since my display doesnt work i cant do that, is there a way to get past this?
