*Therians: People who psychologically identify as an animal. They know they are human (it is not clinical lycanthropy aka believing you are physically an animal) and they obviously behave as humans.
If I had to guess, the psychological identification comes from therians mimicking animals as a child (which all children do), but for therians that mimicry sticks a bit more strongly and ends up as part of their future identity. Idk, that's just my thoughts.
