I hate it when people try to dumb EVERYTHING down for kids. First of all, not everything is solely for children. Second, kids are not nearly as dumb as adults often think they are. Seriously, making Greedo shoot was the only change that genuinely bothered me. I literally pause the movie when I am watching it now, go online, find the clip where Han shoots first, then go back to my movie when I watch A New Hope.

Why does Han get away with stepping on Jabba's tail? The biggest crime lord in the Galaxy! And Jabba lets him get away with it, it's the equivalent of going up to a mafia crime boss and punching him round the face in-front of a group of armed men; Han would be shot on the spot!

I have the original trilogy in DVD. It was a limited edition from 2006. All three movies come with 2 discs: Disc 1 Edited version and disc 2. The ORIGINAL THEATRICAL version!!!

I'm hoping Disney releases the original theatrical versions. They know there is money to be made by doing so, and they KNOW we want to see it. It'd be stupid not to let this happen.

When Greedo mentions that "the groundbreaking special effects... baffled moviegoers" at 0:38, it made me realize that back then, audiences had no idea how these special effects were created, whereas now people often assume that special effects were accomplished using CGI. I feel like getting that peek behind the curtain makes people assume that it's only ever a short little bald man back there.
