That's a beautiful ship, Captain. The paint on the keel looks like Cat Wisker Yellow.

Nice work, This is a model of the "La Flore' a French frigate that was originally built in Spain and called the 'Santa Rosa" and built in 1769. It was released by. Lindbergh in 1966. This is a very accurate model, I picked one u at Ollies for 6.00. The sails were missing,hence the low price, I'll modify it somewhat and build it as the Spanish ship from that great movie "The Crimson Pirate". It should be a fun build.

I built this model recently. Most of the work is in the rigging. The threading is very complex and difficult to do with such tiny parts. I got creative and skipped some steps and had some left over parts. But using your artistic license you can paint this any way you want and still make it look realistic. I had a gap in the side railing but I just added a plank with a spare part. Every pirate ship should have a plank, not sure why they left it out!
