I use momentum sampler to do this. I like how easy it is to mess with patterns and even use melody MIDI or an arpeggiator as a drum pattern for unexpected cool stuff

are there any good substitutes for slicex? in FLs cheaper/free options, its not given to you. so if you close the project you lose all patterns you made with it
