I feel so bad for ayato, according to the lore and the creepy pasta, ayato was murdered by itto after a mission was places to have the arataki gang killed via the shoguns orders. Itto, enraged by this, pushed ayato off a cliff, and while ayato tried to crawl back to safety, he was flipped over and his head bludgeoned and turned to mush by ittos claymore. Realizing what he'd done, itto was constantly running, and felt the guilt of his actions when ayaka found out itto killed her brother. When itto returned to the cliff, ayatos vengeful spirit pushed him off the cliff, and unlike ayato, thus begins the lore of faceless itto, as itto died on impact.

Ok, wow- I never thought I’d actually feel bad for Faceless Ayato, LOL- it’s as if he didn’t acknowledge or realize that he’s a separate entity from the real Ayato. Even if that were the case, I’d still wanna keep him COMPANY, like damn bro, that’s too sad, LMAO. :’DD

This is very in character to Thoma, if an alternate bootleg version of his boss entered his world I feel he would react like this. Maybe help Faceless Ayato. I actually wonder if Faceless Ayato is a better cook though.
