I'm still wondering how powerful twilights parents are.Just look at shining armor. He's captian of a royal guard with his own special protecting spell, and twilight.... you know how powerful is she.So, i think its impossible to have 2 kids with such power and dont be very good at magic.

Princess Celestia is Twilight's mother?! Yeah, right!

First off, I do believe that twilight can be Celestias daughter on a number of factors.

Is the "You have your mother's eyes" statement a Harry Potter reference?

One word: YES.

I don't think Twilight is Celestia's daughter. Although, they did had a connection because their cutie marks are on the Tree of Harmony. Now no one know anything about the tree, but we do know that they were probably chosen for a reason. No wonder their bond together is so very strong.

I think that it is a possibility that Twilight could be Celestia's daughter. however the chances of us seeing it in the show are a bit unlikely. The staff could do this like Dr.Wolf said yet there would have to be a two or three part special to go over the story. Heck there are a few moments in the show that could be seen as hints towards the daughter of Celestia theory yet they might be a little more subtle or are just minor details that couldn't support this theory as a whole.

Strangely this is a very good head canon and is not as stupid as it sounds...

the whole "my real mom from my dream was perfect" scene reminded me of a different comic,where spike dreams that twilight is his mother,and when twilight wakes him up,he tells about his dream,and twilight says:"you dreamed about your mom? what was she like?" and spike,responds the same way twilight did in this comic:"she was perfect."

While I don't think the writers are daring enough to make this move in the show, it DOES present itself to some good fanfiction ideas. In fact, I'm going to look up some right now.

I think it's possible that Twilight is Celestia's Daughter I mean they both have the same element with help they are caring, loving, powerful, and a great teacher they both defeated powerful enemies and are great leaders plus ever in the first episode of my little pony Celestia have been preparing her for countless fights so she can become stronger with help from twilights friends so she can learn how to be a great princess and love all her people I mean twilight has her own castle now

I don't really wish Celestia being Twilight's mother, I actually want to see more moments of Twilight and her actual mother, Twilight Velvet. I think that would be nice and cute. :3

I have one reason why Celestia is twilights mum twilight and celestia both have dark purple eyes BUT twilights mum has really light purple or grey eyes so... Yeah if u agree celestia is twilights mum like if u don't dislike

That kind of thing happened in the story 'Overcoming the Night' by Space Cowboy. It is a twiluna romance and at the end has an alternate reason for Twilight ascending to Alicorn. But it does show one way Twi could take that bombshell.
