the thing would freeze before even making contact with any lifeform as by the movie. The alien would depend if it could find a place to nest.

I agree with the outcome of this battle and great images to go with the scenario! Its acidic blood is the only thing the xenomorph has in its defence. Even if the thing wouldnt be able to adapt to the acid it would still win imo.
