Just gonna say: according to the canon and how much time has passed, it means that Discord literally had to watch all of his friends and then his WIFE die… :(

I think the reason Izzy reminded Discord of Fluttershy was because of her kindness. Hitch has a bond with animals like her, but Discord liked Fluttershy for her accepting nature, like Izzy.

I don't think discord really wants to make magic disappear I'm sure he just wants to test Sunny and his friend to see if they deserved to have and protect the crystal

Just a little something I noticed. In the flashback all the ponies from the G4 timeline look the way they did in the show, yet the G5 ponies still maintain their G5 features, things like having more accurate horse hooves, and the swirl patterns in Izzy’s horn, and the lack of fur in the inner part of their ears. Did ponies just evolve these new physical traits over time? Though they do now have two cutie marks here instead of just one like in the movie and tell your tales series.

Just realized now that we not only have spike back we have discord now I wonder what their reaction will be when they see each other again.

I love that they had the signs prepared ("Save your comments until the end, Sunny," and the follow-up to her asking if they had prepared that beforehand (a sign saying "Yes we did, Sunny")), and her looking SO PISSY in response to that 2nd sign. Definitely something Discord, and/or anyone under Discord's tutelage, would do.
