When people hear Jim Sterling, they think Jim Sterling. When people hear Digital Homicide, they think Jim Sterling.

I can imagine Jim's lawyer reading through the lawsuit documents and having to call Jim to double check that the documents are real and not part of some elaborate joke.

That man claims to have kids, and that upsets me deeply.

"My lawyer countered this by claiming we can't prove there's not enough popcorn on earth"
mayday303 (47 minutes ago)
Damnit it pisses me off that James Romine wasn't forced to pay for your legal fees.
Crazelord91 (51 minutes ago)
Your lawyer in underatedly a savage using the popcorn defense. Your lawyer didn't try to argue why it wasn't slander and a ridiculous claim, he was just like, "OK... then prove it". They should teach that in law school.

"I wouldn't conspire with a food truck to bring him a bad sandwich."
Z3phlar (2 hour ago)
Jim was generous not counterclaiming these guys and eating his own attorney fees. That says a lot about Jim and what a good guy he is.

Looking at the bright side, you walked away from the shitstorm with a damn nice catchphrase.
Schizmo (16 hours ago)
“I wouldn’t conspire with a food truck to deliver you a bad sandwich” is a hell of a line

I'd pay money to see 2 lawyers arguing in court about whether or not there was indeed enough popcorn on earth. I'm picturing powerpoint presentations with rough estimates for the existing amounts of popcorn and the popcorn industry's average popcorn production and growth vs the max amount of popcorn theoretically needed for the case

Moral of the Story:
CyberXIII (11 hours ago)
Can you imagine if Digital Homicide put this much time and energy into improving their games instead of antagonizing Jim?
nsnick199 (17 hours ago)
So to sum it up: "I sued Jim Sterling and all I got was this T-shirt"?
Taospark (3 hours ago)
You have to admit, his lawsuit was better crafted and more original than his games.
madanotap6492 (9 hours ago)
You know, it really says something about digital homicide as a game developer that their lawsuits are more fun to read than their games are to play. How does that happen? Games are literally designed for the purpose of enjoyment. And no one has ever made a lawsuit with the concept of people enjoying it even close to their minds. How can you be that shit?
