Even if John hadn't gotten revenge on Micah. The Federal Governement Agents would have easily tracked him down regardless since he went to the Bank and Purchased the Raunch. Even the Bank guy when talking himself literally tells him that once you sign these papers you are forever owned lol something the along the lines of that.

to be totally honest - i feel like they just thought the title “Red Dead Redemption” just sounded cool. same with Revolver ‍️ i truly don’t think John redeems himself by any means. Arthur is a toss up depending on how you play him i guess, but John is an inarguably worse person.
