@m1ggyzzz i think its showing that he realized that he was going bad. also, technically he's a different person. also, he does have some parts where he gets angry such as the beast below, the pandorica opens, and a good man goes to war

@Rahhelthethird I honestly think the Eleventh Doctor is dealing with the guilt of not just having to destroy Gallifrey, but moments like this. I think he realizes he really did go too far and has a lot of self-loathing as a result of it. Especially after little hints like The God Complex, he's more afraid of the Valeyard than ever.
