this was extremely helpful. You should see the distributor internals on mine if you think yours looks rough. Mine is crazy rusted and even the coil looks like it has been seen some damage.

Make sure your 12volt connect ion is ok they raddle an slitly back out on the road that the battery connection or you push in it goes up in

What size is the screw to take the cover off. ?

Ok so on my HEI , I don’t have the ground under my coil, I do have a ground strap,and I do have a three wire slip ones.

Ok with out that underneath the coil ground, will it have a system problem of dieing at a moments notice , my truck will just die , it dies driving down the road , it dies if I let it idle, if i don’t turn the key off first it will not restart, it only restarts after I turn key on and off, I’m out of thoughts too on mine , I have changed everything including the coil, the only difference is my ground to the coil is not underneath the coil.

Why didn't you use the dielectric grease?

Some camera equipment would be a good investment then you can use both hands
