Great ideas. Want to remove that last piece of plastic pick guard cover on a new guitar and didn’t want to damage it. Thanks for the post

Came here because I had some of the packaging wrap under both and I just used the clipped 6th string of the same guitar to get them off with little effort, thanks!

I couldn't get the shirt to work but I got it done with the spoon and used the shirt to protect the pickguard (brand new so I still care not to scratch it). Thanks!

Thanks, spoon trick worked a charm. They should just include a card with new guitars showing people how to do it, lol.

Worked great for me! Took me 2 attempts to remove a knob so i could remove the pickguard film underneath. However, I pushed down to much when putting the knob back on the post. I screwed myself as there was no room for tucking the t-shirt under the knob this time. I had to then look up another method and found one using a few playing cards. (I actually used a few paint swatch color cards). This technique worked too.
