i like to think that this song is about a neurotic gingerbread man living out of pure spite. the “catch me if you can” equaling “kill me if you can”, the “from the cradle to the casket”, the whole ragtime vibe, it sounds a lot like a dreadful nursery rhyme. and i fffFFFUCKING LOVE IT
