It's actually kind of refreshing to see an extended period of Jon and Chugga getting along like this. Stuff like this makes it easy to see how, despite the half-joking rivalry antics we get on TRG, these two really are good friends.

You know, I would recommend Sticker Star to wanna-be game designers as a very informative what not to do. Like, the battle system when analyzed teaches you a lot about needing to think about how individual design choices mesh together and also about dominant strategy. None of the individual choices (No penalty for running away, no level ups, enemies despawn when ran from) are inherently bad, but combined form a system where the best strategy is simply to run from everything and horde stickers for bosses. This results in a major part of your game only being played by people who actively choose not to play optimally, which while not something that really ruins a game is something the designers should have thought about.

It's nice that Chuggaa did have a somewhat enjoyable time during the stream.

Admittedly, rolling up a Goomba into a cone is at least a clever and novel twist on the standard spike-helm Goombas. Definitely not original-character material, but it's at least neat.

One of my biggest complaints with sticker star is you can’t attack without stickers. Like not at all. What I think they should have done is remove the normal jump and hammer stickers and give those actions. Then you collect more powerful moves to use.
