My grandma taught me to wash clothes like that, in 1990's we don't use washing powder only Bar soap so i Learned to wash like that as well, much easier and cleaner....

I bet those clothes are sparkly clean, no machine could wash this well, that is the reason they still wash by hands, those people as clean as diamonds.
