You sound like Chilled but smarter. Cheers, mate.

It was about time we had a full evil villain like Jack Horner. Another thing I like about him is how wasteful he is, he squanders a lot of magical artifacts because he doesn't care, he has a lot of backup

One neat thing about the final fight between Puss and Death is the reflections back to their first encounter- when Death blocks Puss' strike with his sickles in the bar, we see Puss reflected back in them, but when the same thing happens in the final fight, it's Death we see reflected. Super cool little stuff

I also like how his new weaponry addition in the form of the dagger makes a lot of sense. Puss uses a rapier, and daggers were very commonly used alongside the rapier as a defensive tool. This also carries the additional symbolism of him no longer being blindly fearless and arrogant, thus using the dagger as a defensive weapon. But also at the end of the movie gaining back his bravery, and in turn retaking his rapier, an offensive tool. And becoming "just right" both in terms of his character and it terms of his fighting style becoming balanced.

I think the most important thing about the Wolf that you don't mention is that Puss doesn't actually beat him. He just overcomes his fear of the Wolf and I think the movie made it pretty clear that the wolf could continue indefinitely but rather chose not to. He didn't get what he wanted, and that was enough for Puss to live another day, instead of Puss somehow managing to conquer death and winning the day forever.

aaaaa i love how you mentioned how puss still flinched and is still SCARED during the last fight, I was really sad that people don’t really talk about those details

"I was afraid I was gonna come out naked" is an underrated line

A great detail is during the bar scene when the wolf first shows up you hear a bell tolling in the distance. It’s not until the 8th bell that the wolf shows up. Symbolizing the wolf having waited 8 lives till now to show

One more little thing. While Puss is characterized by bombastic high beat music, the wolf is the complete opposite, characterized by only his whistling, and when his whistling is playing there is no other music overlapping it, with the whistling itself playing and ending abruptly just like death's presence, happening suddenly without notice at any moment to anyone.

I really like the small detail that Death is using sickles as weapons, aka the other tool used for reaping beside a scythe.
Nazo-kage (22 hours ago)
4:26 it’s actually pretty fitting for him to be this unrepentant villain.

Death is an antagonist, not a villain because although his actions goes against the protagonist, they are justified. Jack Horner is a villain because he's evil and does evil stuff.
