There's literally never been a better reason to contradict canon. Having the spino be the partially aquatic pescatarian that it actually was would be so much better.

The fan service to fandom is amazing. Spino the Godzilla of franchise beating another Gorosaurus of JP once again. Side kick never beats mai man, monster croc with sail > basic dinosaur looking all day everyday in every categories.

In the fight where spino wins and the other one in which rex wins, you really can’t argue on any of them. Spino was being controlled in the first one, so basically it was doing whatever mr. Kon made it do. So it won fair cause it was being mind controlled. In the second one the rex defeated spino fair too. Little eatie is literally just roaring and if you say that “spino was too weak after the first battle”, big eaties neck got crushed too so it won fair too. So now both fanboys are happy, living in harmony :)
