It was fairly impossible in the original, any mafia with a shotgun instantly hits your car, they'll never miss even if you are going top speed. Never liked having to drive through Saint Marks after you kill Salvatore. It's just broken and not fun

Guys, if you have leftover stuff to do in Portland after the Mafia get their shotguns, you can use the bullet proof car Ray gives you when you take him to the airport. Very useful, especially for this race.

This is the kinda stuff they should've fixed. Entire areas of the game become inaccessible due to gang hostility. Nope, enjoy your radio wheel!

It's the same thing as the original. They always shoot at you! This is the reason why after killing Salvatore, (RIP to Frank Vincent by the way) the mafia will always shoot at Claude, making Portland unplayable, regardless of OG or the "Definitive Edition".

I can't believe I won that race after Salvatore's death in the original game once. IIRC I used a Banshee as a starting car and when the Mafia bois set it on fire during my 2nd pass through their turf I was lucky to hijack a random Leone Sentinel that was passing by

It's very funny & ironic that when u attempt one of the shoreside hoods missions which u had to drive an infernus fixed with a timer bomb parked in Wishita Gardans apartment area to a garage in Saint Mark's to dispose the bomb,the mafia won't shoot u & act like never seen u before

That's the one thing I freaking HATED about GTA 3. Triads, Diablo, and shotgun hell Mafia. Favorite Island taken away. Thanks. I thought they would fix that, but nah.
