Hello. My name is Alexander Robinson, an online film critic, and entertainment host.
I have been a fan of movies for as long as I can remember. I started reviewing movies on YouTube starting in 2012 as a hobby, but I created this channel (formerly known as THE REAL MR. ROBINSON) with the intention to turn it into a career. Since then, I have become a contributor for GEEKED OUT NATION, a voting member of the HOLLYWOOD CREATIVE ALLIANCE, and I've been a guest on channels such as THE REEL REJECTS, ADORKABLE RACHEL, DOUBLE TOASTED, and POPCORN TALK.
My goal is to share my love and knowledge of movies and TV with as many awesome people as possible and hopefully influence you to check out the movies that don't come up in discussion as much as others.

I just looked it up and pacific rim has already made 91.3 million, while grown ups two has made about 42.5 million. i think humanity is realizing the error of its ways

Pacific Rim will do ok in the long run even if its beaten by Grown Ups 2. Im gonna buy it straight away when its out on DVD. Shows that your average US movie go-er don't no shit about movies though.

Pacific Rim....I shall see it AGAIN in IMAX 3D in 2 days. I LOVE THIS MOVIE SO DAMN MUCH!!! :) Female Mecha/Kaiju fan for life! And screw "Grown Ups 2"!!!

are you excited for guardians of the galaxy cause i am and its competing with 50 shades of grey which i want guardians to crush at the box office and i loved pacific rim but i dont want another grown ups 2 beating pacific rim at the box office

Anything that made me worry for the movie was quickly justified. Charlie Day- a little unsure on his role at first, but he made it work. That moment from the trailer where the robot is tossed very far- I could feel the weight of it all.

I don't like to impose my opinion on others and can't stand people who do. But even I gotta say come on people. Pacific Rim was the most fun I've had at the theater in a long time. Grown ups 2?! Adam Sandler's dorky frat boy humor is funny for about 5 minutes. Kevin James? I walked out in the middle of "Mall Cop" and haven't bothered with any of his movies since. I always considered it beneath me to judge folks by their taste in movies but this situation makes it impossible not to.

The sad thing is there shouldn't be an explanation at all. Pacific Rim needs to be seen and is generally highly rated. Whereas Grown Ups 2 is rated low, many don't find it funny, and all the humor in it is stupid humor. The word needs to be spread. Pacific Rim needs to be seen.

I live in Europe and here people are more open minded. But the movie wasn't marketed well enough: too much emphasis on robots, monsters and cancelling the apocalypse. This kind of stuff don't appeal to the general audience anymore, (thanks to M. Bay's crappy movies, now PR is paying the price.) the general audience wants romance, humor, and handsome/well known actors or the movie will go under the radar. People should go with their kids like they did for despicable me/convince their girlfriends

Despite some corny and shallow characters, Pacific Rim is an absolute blast!!! It will blow your socks off. Go see it. Make sure you go to the 3D. I'm going to see it again!!! .....Adam Sandler? Jesus ....
