I had an almost identical experience the other day at about 5.30am in the morning on a dual carriageway on the way to work the other day. Undercover car came up behind me as I was speeding (I was doing about 75mph in a 60mph) so I thought "ohhh shitttt"…moved into left lane and slowed down to 60mph…they tailed me for a bit after having turned their lights off and then overtook me and carried on their day. Was a relief! Phruuuuuup

A friend of mine and me was messing around at a traffic light one night....reving our engines waiting for it to turn green. And a second before the light turned green, the seemingly normal car behind me kicked on some police lights lol We pulled over to the side as the light turned green....the car cut off it's lights and drove by smiling lol

Usually I get irritated by bikers being stupid and disregarding every traffic law in sight, so it's hugely refreshing to see a post from a sensible, grown-up biker. Yea - likes a wee bit of speed, but clearly has eyes and ears open for safety for others. Well done, sir!

I usually spot the undercover cars when im looking threw their window when they are badly parked :P getting difficult though these days. A grey kia was the last one i saw. Literally the least suspect car in the world

The reason it's 50 is because it goes straight onto a roundabout and a 30, having it at 70 not only makes it more dangerous but it actually increases congestion.

Unmarked police cars are tricky, I guess the only way to not get caught speeding is when there is absolutely no other cars on the road, not unless the police starts using invisibility cloaking technology.

If it's a 330d in a dark colour with those alloys it's an unmarked police car. Look out for 530d SEs as well. Boggo specs are normally 4 cylinder diesels driven by sales reps minimising their tax payments.

And that is why speed limits are being lowered all over the country. When a road goes from a sensible 70 to a 50 or 40 the idiots in-charge know that drivers will get impatient, it's a money maker, pure and simple.
