Such a shame that you don't see how precious your bird is. My cockatiel sings to napkins, blankets, his reflection, and I find it cute rather than "stupid".

Why would you call your cockatiel stupid? You have such a amazing bird. Over my dead body would I ever call my cockatiel stupid. A bird is never stupid, maybe under trained, but not stupid.

my bird flew away today so i came here to listen to a cockatiel sing. Please dont take your bird for granted as you dont know how long he will stay with you.

Mine does the same whistling and throws in some words too. They are not STUPID!! I rescued mine from a very bad house and now he is such a sweetie.

Haha my dad calls my budgie chicken nugget or fried chicken and always tells her he's gonna eat her. Since the bird doesn't understand human and he says it in a positive tone, the tiel is happy with him and he is reacting in a positive way! Yeah it may be weird to call a bird stupid, but hey, we all have a different way of expressing ourselves, even if others don't like it
