you don't need gauntlet, the trick is to hit jump as soon as you hit the pod while positioning, you can stay in air forever with just one pod this way , practice with the first one

Hah! Just got it on the first try after watching this by using the upward swipe attack with the gauntlets a lot. SPOILERS: I had five "tanks" of energy to use on the swipe attack. When I got to the top of the first set of "bounce stones", I repeatedly dashed against that wall to allow the tanks to refill to use on the second climb. Still can't find one chest and one loot pile though.

All that for nothing. This challenge is infuriating. I was hoping for a weapon or maybe trinket.

You don't need the gauntlets, after hitting the orb don't immediately double jump and wait before using your double jump.

The trick here is to catch the ledge next to the 3rd circle, it took me 6 flasks and atleast 8 tries to get to the chest
