Happily retired wife, mother, and grandmother. I am passionate about healthy eating and knowing where the food we eat is sourced from. I am very intentionally about growing what I am able to and procuring only organic and no hormones or antibiotics, eggs, raw milk, humanely raised meat products, and poultry.
I believe a well-stocked pantry is a necessity, and having several different forms of food preservation available is a must. I like to can, dehydrate, ferment, and freeze dry foods.

I enjoy baking and cooking from scratch. I especially like when the grandkids are here, and they help in the kitchen. It's the best way for kids to learn.

I also enjoy quilting in my spare time. I gift quilts I make to family and friends.
