Morelli's Tactical Advantage is about Outdoor Adventure and Shooting. Tactical is a miss understood word these days. It makes us think of Black Rifles, SWAT, Combat and shit like that when tactic is just a wiser way of getting something done. Tactics differ between muzzleloader or modern as distance is more critical with a muzzleloader. We cover the best tactics for a variety of interest, rifle shooting, defensive shooting, hunting, gunsmithing and trapping. We do T&E's on new products and give our opinion of the usefulness of each product. Also, we build custom precision rifles and work on guns. That pup sure has a LOT of energy! I wish our lives were so simple and full of joy as a Dogs life. You are 100% right about these "Forgotten cartridges". Many are still widely used all time favorites. but they have been "Forgotten" by gun writers. You don't hear much about any of these cartridges anymore since magazines are always pushing for sales and want the "New kid on the block" advertised. Personally, I am very much enjoying this series, and really like hearing the history behind them. Blue skies today Dave! First time in awhile, but only 2 degrees F here....BRRrrr!

I've always valued the 308 winney! One of the most versatile cartridges invented. Especially for the Mighty M1A. Easy follow up shots and decent recoil to boot. I've never reached out past 4-500 yds, but you know you'll hit your mark before hearing contact. I love the classic calibers....243,270,308,30-06 and the 300WM. They are tried and true cartridges that will stand the test of time without compromise. I'd have to say the 308WIN is my favorite semi-auto round.

308 is my favorite deer caliber. Out here in SC I load 150 grain bullets. Either seirra or Hornady sst .

I never forgot the .308. I use it all the time. Excellent cartridge. Will drop any animal in N. America.
