For anyone still confused, here are the numpad notations from left to right, top to bottom (meaning up-back to down-forward): 7, 8, 9, 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3.

I bought the game on release day and am really enjoying the Libra of Soul mode. I played Soul Calibur 1, 2, 4 and 5 (3 was a PS3 exclusive and I didn't have one). I really appreciate your love of Soul Calibur and am glad this is going to have a spot on Weekend Warriors!
