Why would you even bring the robot designed to kill Nazis to the Nazi party meeting

For an avid collector of military items the guy REALLY didn't do his research on G.I.

I love how he had NO hesitation to blast Sam other than an initial sigh of disappointment.

I think what really strikes me is that his flashbacks to WWII here aren’t about killing Nazis. It’s about joyful, relaxed moments and the downtime he had with his squad. When he was the most PART of something and truly belonged. Killing Nazis isn’t just his coding. In many ways, what sentience he gained associates it that joy and sense of belonging. You can tell by his language that it’s not just a task for him. He’s genuinely absorbed Easy Company’s disgust and grudges as well as the wartime us vs. them mentality. And he will always side with the values and bonds from the Company. It all calls back to how his one real desire is to kill Nazis with his brothers. In some ways, it’s heartbreaking because (of the backstories revealed so far) he’s one of the few members of the team who had somewhere they truly belonged but can never get back to.

There's something genuinely tragic about the photo montage near the end of G.I. Robot serving with Easy Company. You get those shots of him appearing happy with his squad mates while they were deployed, then it cuts to him at Victory Day celebration and he's still there dressed and ready for war while everyone else is going back to civilian life. There is no life for G.I. Robot to go back to because serving in WWII is his sole purpose.

There's a thing that makes Jame Gunn a great adapter of comics, he understands that comics are weird and that despite the weirdness there's still a humanity. Excited to see him do Superman.

0:48 I love everything about Flagg’s demeanor in this moment. It’s like he’s letting a hunting dog off it’s leash on opening day. Sure, there’s work to be done, but he knows his buddy has been waiting for a chance to do just that for too long

The dude was treated like an object his entire existence and the one time the Government treated him as a person is when he did what he was made to do in American soil.
