In my opinion, Enchanted Portals is a version of cuphead from another universe where the brothers failed to convince the public that their game was good and had to do it alone on a small budget.

Honestly, this game's style looks more like cartoons from 2000's with "seemingly" smooth animations but completely unsure style which tries to stay faithful but modernize it in wrong ways.

The sound design is most definitely one of there biggest fumbles to me it just sucks out the immersion you get compared to cup head

What they need to fix is the sound design (more sound effects such as enemy sounds and bosses making sounds) and they need to nerf the enemy spawn rates because holy crap these guys will horde up and instantly kill you because they melt your HP that fast

And the worst part is that this game probably is selling better than most indie games, because it's getting a lot of publicity, bad publicity that is, but publicity nonetheless.

Let's be real here, there isn't any real way this game could've existed without being compared to cuphead. The art style and overall mechanics are just something that makes that the case. If, at any point in time, another game came out that also had this art style, I can guarantee it would have the same problem.

Good part: the background of the final boss
