Old Minecraft has this vibe that new Minecraft doesn't. It's this liminal, creepy, lonely vibe. Sometimes it's a nice vibe... but most of the time it is very unpleasant. And these images really nail that unpleasant feeling.

I don't understand people who find these pictures alarming, repulsive or frightening. They make me feel cozy, beautiful, grand, interested and adventurous, but a couple of the pictures seem sad for some reason. It's strange that I don't give a damn about the fact that there isn't a single living creature in them except for trees or grass. It would be possible to come up with some interesting paranormal stuff here, like spirits trapped under a forest that they cursed and this cursed forest devours everyone who steps into it. That...would be interesting
