I live in Maine and work on MDI, this is a lovely list, so informative!! A simple/quick but lovely hike I would recommend is the Wonderland trail along the Seawall in Southwest Harbor. The seawall is very scenic and beautiful, if you revisit ME its a pretty sight!

Jordan Pond. The little mountains you mentioned are called the Bubble mountains. We love hiking around Jordan Pond. And the nature is so beautiful there.

As someone whom is from Maine...this brings me joy! I am only a hour from Acadia & hike down there frequently. Thank you!

You covered it all very nicely. I would like to add that Gorham mountain trail and bubble rock trail are family friendly so if you have children who like hiking you should check out those trails. We brought our children who range in age from 6 to 15 and they all enjoyed those hikes.
