As a student then a teacher of different languages (European, Arabic, Amazigh...), I LOVE the way you explain things. Instead of learning by heart and automatically a language, I prefer understanding the "deep structure" of the words and phrases... For the Latin and Germanic languages i use, i go as far as their etymology... I would not dare do it for the Japanese. I am just, for the time being, trying to get a little familiar with the Kana... as well as with frequently used expressions like the one you explain here. So, thank you very much. Brilliant work.
