Makes me feel bad for him, seeing him all mad that he wasn't having much luck. Then just giving up. His expression turning from anger to sadness. His voice in a tone showing he lost the will to keep going and just gave in. But choosing to say something nice instead of something very rude. Taking a in the moment mental fall like that but chooses kindness over anger.
