I buy badly painted/broken minis from Ebay, then strip the paint/fix them. Most recently, I got 20 unpainted Skavens for £5. Also, I have about 30 space marines and a dreadnought that I'm stripping and repainting as Salamanders. Got a small group of broken Tau, complete with Broadside mech for £10. It was broken, but complete, so it only took time and a bit of glue and patience.

3D printer unlocked so much for me. I prob wouldn’t enjoy the game as much. If you don’t have the space for one try to find someone that has one that can sell you stuff for cheap

I dont recomend buying a printer, i recomend finding someone who did already. Barrier of entry goes from 200+$ to 20/kg + your pride and shame, begging for free labor setting up prints.

Been into 40k for little over a month and a half. My Battle Sister youtubers got me onto Ebay. Haven't painted a single model but I bought, won bids, and negotiated for 40k all while trying to avoid those shipping fees. A Sister's Rhino, 4 characters out of box, Seraphim and Zeraphin sets never used but open, and tons of loose guns, Battle Sister parts, and unused Cherubs for the cheap! Bought all the stuff for my stepsons from the stores new and for Christmas but I've gotten more stuff for half the price. 🏾, gonna be way ahead of the boys come summer, when I should be playing with a full painted set or two with Ebay!!!

Strip with LA awesome cleaner, works on plastic, metal and resin. You can forget about models in it for months with no damage.

I hate not supporting Warhammer, but I recently bought some printed Socratis minis from Etsy. I haven’t recieved them yet, but I’m looking forward to it. They were 1/4th of the cost of normal Warhammer. I was able to build a 1000 point army for a little less than $100. Kind of a no brainer for me. As a husband and father, my wallet is tight, I just wanna play the game and paint some minis without selling a vital organ.

Biostrip 20 is excellent for stripping paint, it doesn't melt resin and doesn't destroy your hands. Works very fast as well
