I used the killing curse for every single boss fight and I have 0 regrets, was so freaking fun, especially since they patched the game and made it so you can’t use it on big bosses anymore

boss typically have a long health bar, doesn't really dodge attacks and have a predictable attack/defense pattern

Really wish they had NG+ for this game. Not just for the sake of going back and demolishing foes at lvl 40 with maxed out legendary gear, but so you don't have to redo the gigantic chorefest that is the combat challenges, Merlin Trials, Astronomy Tables, Balloons, and all the rest.

This fight did terrify me when first played it but now I'm not to freaked out anymore since playing through the different houses

Did this boss on level 21 or so (on normal), it was a good challenge. Figured if i left it till level 30, it would be a pushover. And i was right... At level 20, he 2 shots you and since he has adds and consecutive attacks, its basically 1 shot. So i had to utilize arena to keep distance and strategically killed adds. This doesnt seem fun...

Only when all your gear is valued at over 100 and is fully upgraded with grade 3 traits are you the Boss. I hit that Absconder with the transfigurement charm, then blew it up with two strikes which when the barrel blew up, took out all the littl'uns as well.

Also you can imperio and than get close and petrificus totalus them, its way more fun , love it doing to trolls. There are certain restrictions tho, its works on mountain,cave and forest trolls but not with armoured or ashwinder troll
