This game and live 95 are largely responsible for my lifelong sports fanhood. Salute

Great job, Alvin Harper was a heck of a football player, I think he was the first to do the slam dunk before tony Gonzales. 2 time Super Bowl champ didn’t play in the xfl you did a great job please keep it up

I used to watch my cousins play this back around 95 or 96 and what made in enjoy it was the 40 yard dash, obstacle course, kick distance drill, and passing range drill. And hearing the nfl in Fox theme seeing the football field at the main menu. I also saw that they had Madden 95 for SNES which was easy for me to beat, but I guess I realized that they were two different games because I thought this game was Madden 95 since I only saw that cartridge.

Thank you for making me appreciate this game a lot more. I did what you suggested by pressing y and b for the plays which was HB Toss. I was always using play action for Madden 95 to win. You should possibly do more tips on how to get good at the SNES madden games for beginners and newcomers.

If my memory is correct, every time you call a defensive audible, the computer offense will call an audible in response. And you can keep repeating that until the offense gets a delay of game penalty.

Great game, but completely agree that this was the era where you never got the sense of playing with a "good" player, outside of speed.

They fuked up with the qb throwing motion in '96. If you notice the the pc controlled qb would stand still when he threw the ball. The player controlled qb would always move forward before his release, resulting in more tipped passes and sacks..

I was 17 when this game came out. This was the game that got me playing John Madden games. I still have cartridge. Always play as the New York Jets.(the only time I can see my team win a Superbowl)

Thank you for not using an intolerably wrong aspect ratio or a disgusting overbearing graphics filter

And yes, Carolina Stadium (originally Ericsson Staduim, now Bank of America Stadium) in Charlotte opened in time for the 1996 NFL season.
