As a Californian, I am shocked and horrified at how little of this was taught to me in “history” class.

Today visit the fields of coastal California, Gilroy, Salinas, King City, Santa Maria, San Luis Obispo, Edna Valley, Santa Barbara, the descendants of the native people are still working in the fields in a modern day caste system. Just like Fuedel Europe.

The Hokan and Penutian language families are actually not very well supported within the field of historical linguistics. It’s more accurate to say there are up to twenty different language families in California—an even greater degree of diversity!

Massive respect to you for making this, the crimes of colonialism aren't even close to being publicly evaluated for what they truly were, due to the dominant nations of today being the ones who perpetrated them and today try to whitewash the immense brutality of them or put blame off of them by calling colonialism "inevitable" or omitting responsibility by blaming diseases only. I best hope colonialism is utterly condemned during some part of my lifetime.

What I find somewhat ironic about all this is that the genocide of Native Americans erased many languages that could have been used for US Military Secret Communication purposes like they used Navajo in WW2.
