I wasn’t around for most of Smallville (2005) but it is by far the single greatest, in both idea and execution, piece of Superhero media. Combining 2000’s high school, coming of age with a superhero learning their abilities was a stroke of genius. It’s such a shame this wasn’t adopted for other characters. I wish they did a Spider-man one and/or a Batman one. Yeah we got Gotham but that didn’t focus on just one character. Even if they did one now it wouldn’t be the same unless it was set in the 2000’s using 2000’s technology to make.

The bullet transition at 2:25 was inconceivably remarkable!
