This is why I like wrestling, it will sometimes ignores aspects of realism to instead treat the athletes like some fictional character who overcomes the odds at the most narratively satisfying moment. Makes for an entertaining product.

This match had not one, not two, but three times I thought the match was genuinely over and it wasn't. The rope break, the nasty tiger driver kickout, and this, which very nearly broke my brain because I thought that was it, and it wasn't even a kick out at 2.

I 100% get that this spot shouldn't be overused and that I don't want to see Omega kick out at one from a finisher all the time...but, holy shit, this popped me huge and I think it's fucking fantastic. The only thing I would've done is, when Omega kicked out at one is if Ospreay just drilled him with the Hidden Blade to get the cover. Like it was a final "Fuck You, Bruv!" from Kenny to Will.

Been to many wrestling events in Toronto the ones that stand out to me are Hogan-Warrior, Rock-Hogan, Omega-Ospreay. Omega-Ospreay by far being the best actual match

This is the only false finish that's truly "got me", I genuinely thought the match was over. Osprey hits it, disrespects Kenny hard and that moment where Kenny kicks out I actually lost my mind and jumped out of my seat.

i love the silly wrestling rule that someone is less hurt by their own finisher because they're so experienced with it. I'd like to think Kenny and Ibushi are the only ones who know the secret to kicking out of it.

this is why i love it when moves are protected like this, makes for such a great story when someone finally seems strong, not curb stomping someone 7 times and them still kicking out at 1
