I think the original. Somehow it's WAY more creepy when that clear of a voice comes out of that big mangled monster you thought was mindless and stupid until it outright spoke to you.

Original sounded like a dead husk of a man. Remake sounds more like a monster that's lost all its humanity. Both fit nemesis really well

They're both good in their own way. The original is what I always hear in my head whenever I see S.T.A.R.S and the remake just sounds downright creepy and awesome!

I think that it might have been the best of both worlds, if the remade Nemesis' voice first sounded clearer and more human like the original's, during his initial forms. But once he transforms into his quadrupedal beast form, he could continue to occasionally utter "S.T.A.R.S.", which would then sound like the more booming, monstrous, and distorted voice we do get in the remake.

I think the original help to show how terrifying nemesis is. He was created only to hunt you down and kill you. The fact that he can only say stars and say it so clearly just shows how his only purpose is to hunt and kill you, and when he says “stars” it’s means that he is near to finishing his job, inflicting terror inside the player.
