Cooking in water or liquid is known as boiling, simmering, stewing or poaching. Not frying or sauteing.. So this can be called boiled, stewed or poached puris. Not fried..

After boiling please put in air fryer for a few mins brushed with a little oil and it crisps up like a poori.

Poori is eater for taste, I wonder what this tastes like, and if it can be made to puff up a bit? Will a few seconds in a toaster oven give it some color? Worth experimenting!

Kudos to efforts and thought. But the texture is going to be completely different from the traditional puri and thus it will impact taste as as well. It lacks the core of the puri, The puffiness and crunch of the puri. No offense but calling it a puri will be wrong. You can give it a new name though.
