Yes, I've played a lot of war games and the one thing that always seems to be a problem is AI infantry behaviour, particularly when under fire. Here in real life the Germans would not just stay in the one vulnerable position to be eventually wiped out, they would move to alternative positions or even occasionally retreat ie run away. That sort of behaviour would make the game so much more interesting and playable long term, for a start it would require you to think tactically in an ever changing environment, not just move forward and fire until the enemy are all dead.

Reminds me of Command and Conquer.. How I loved that series

It looks like the spirit of Sudden Strike is there. I'm happy.

I see a lot of people comparing this to Company of Heroes, but the only similarity I see is that the font style looks the same as CoH1. The gameplay looks incredibly simple in comparison. I mean, you are just making a blob of units stand still in the middle of a field and shoot people, and somehow winning. That is literally the opposite style of gameplay that CoH tries to provide, which rewards tactical decision making and micro-management of units, rather than blobbing.

Damn, I've been living under a rock. This is the first I've heard of this game and the second game of this ilk to haphazardly run across. I don't know if I would be intellectually capable to play this game but it sure looks like a lot of fun!

Back in the days Sudden Strike 1 and 2 was my jam, specially the second one with the map editor. I never played the 3rd one. This one I started to play this month because it's on Origin Vault, and I'm liking so far, it really brings the classic Sudden Strike feeling with modern less cartoonish style. I started to play the Soviet campaign and I found it more dificult than the Allied campaign.

About time that a new Sudden Strike games is made. I played hours and hours of the first series.

I havnt heard of this game before today. This is exactly what i bin wanting to get for a long time, a Command & Conquer type of game.
