I'd personally like to thank Edgar Escobar for teaching us this technique! It's saved us a very, very expensive Europass! Definitely a quick and easy tutorial to help save your favorite soccer, basketball or football.

One surefire way to make sure that it doesn't leak from tha panels as well, is while the original valve is still out, drop a tiny bit of bike tire liquid sealant into the soccer ball. So far I have saved a winter speedcell, and a red terrapass from the display shelf by this method. It really does work too! (:

The Nike Aerosculpt balls are notorious for valve leaks. Amazing balls to play with but the valves are horrible for balls that are that expensive

I might have to do this with one of my teamgeists at some point, so could be useful :)

I just tried this on a Nike Incyte match ball and it didn't quite work. I was able to replace the valve but had to cut away quite a bit of the cover to do it. Maybe it was just that ball but it was not easy. The hole where the valve comes out is tiny. It wouldn't surprise me if Nike made changing the valves on their soccer balls less than user friendly

Could this be done on a Nike pro match ball? I notice Nike doesn’t have an air valve
